IPA USA 2010 Play Conference
IPA USA will host the 2010 Play Conference on Urban Play, the 36th Annual International Conference and the The Association for the Study of Play (TASP)25th Anniversary Conference on The American Association for the Child’s Right to Play (IPA/USA) March 10-13, 2010. It will be held at Georgia State University, Atlanta, Georgia. The IPA is, "IPA USA is the national affiliate of IPA World , an international non-governmental organization, founded in Denmark in 1961. It is interdisciplinary and embraces in membership persons of all professions working for or with children. Membership is open to any individual, group or organization which endorses the United Nations' Declaration of the Rights of the Child (1959), especially Article 7, paragraph 3, which states: "The child shall have full opportunity for play and recreation which should be directed to the same purposes as education; society and the public authorities shall endeavor to promote the enjoyment of this right;" The IPA endorses its belief in Article 31 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (1990)."

IPA/USA & The Association for the Study of Play (TASP) 2010 Annual Conference
The TASP conference will include presentations on urban play with a focus on play advocacy; play practice; and play research. Guest speakers include experts on play such as Joe Frost, Ph.D., Marc Bekoff, Ph.D., Stuart Brown, M.D., Bernie DeKoven, M.A., and Jonathan Todres, J.D. National Legislative Forum on Parks and Recreation Conference
NRPA's National Legislative Forum on Parks and Recreation will give national leaders information on the services provided by park and recreation agencies. The conference aims to, "advance national policies that promote health through physical activity, reconnect children with nature and protect open space for recreation." The National Legislative Forum on Parks and Recreation is held annually in conjunction with NRPA’s Mid-Year meeting. Mid-Year meeting attendees are encouraged to register for the Forum.

AAHPERD National Convention & Exposition
The American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) will host its 125th National Convention & Exposition Indianapolis. AAHPERD is an alliance of five national associations, six district associations, and a 22,000 member research consortium. National Aquatic Exposition and Conference
The National Recreation and Park Association will hold its National Aquatic Conference (NAC) for aquatic professionals in Houston, TX. NAC will showcase resources to be successful in the aquatics environment. There will be educational programming on safety and efficiency and a tradeshow. The National Aquatic Conference is for aquatics professionals, and aquatic recreation professionals as well as private aquatic facilities in communities. National Aquatic Management School The National Aquatic Management School (NAMS) is a three-year program, taking place the same week as the conference.
